Now my hubby and I are officially hard core ACD fans!!! "Mo, the legendary kid, aka Diva, aka hey I'm talking to you! Has settled in and has been having great fun teaching us how to teach an aristocratic individual lady like herself. We went to our first herding lesson last night. What a blast!!! So many neat people & dogs! There was a lot going on with action in several different pens & pastures. At first Mo was more interested in trying to greet everyone & eat sheep poo than actually paying attention, but by our 3rd & 4th turns in the pen she was engaging and actually trying to figure the game out. Quite interesting to watch just how flat a red blur can make itself when it's nipping a heel. Marie Keopke said the "light bulb" went off in her head. The dog did much better than me. I felt like a complete idiot... turn, stop, watch your sheep, get off the fence, step on the long line, don't step in the long line, go, stop, turn, push your dog out with the stick - no! not that much! Turn into your dog, no the other way, push , back off, ....... Whew! well you get the idea. Anyway, we had a super time and can hardly wait for our next lesson.I'll keep ya'll updated on our progress.
